Size Matters

The Higgs Cargo sits lower to the ground than most of our bikes, and has similar height to our Higgs Step Thru. Due to its passenger-carrying capabilities, it has a much longer wheelbase and is overall a longer bike. We recommend this bike for riders 5'3" tall and up.   • What size rider is the Higgs Cargo best for? + -

    Riders from 5’2 - 6’4

    This is one of key differences between the Higgs Cargo and the Alpha Cargo. The Higgs Cargo has a smaller frame with 20"x4" fat tires and an extended wheel base for a lower center of gravity and overall balance.

    This is a general recommendation, and you should consider individual comfort preferences, as seat height and handlebar adjustments can offer additional flexibility.

  • How many passengers can the bike hold? + -

    2 passengers can fit comfortably on the back of the bike as long as the combined rider weight does not exceed 400lbs. You can also decide to configure your Alpha Cargo to carry both one passenger and rear basket or crate. Or just cargo if you choose.

  • What class e-bike is the Higgs Cargo? + -

    The Higgs Cargo is a Class 2 e-bike which means it reach up to a maximum speed of 20mph using throttle and/or pedal assist. Cargo e-bikes by law are required be no greater than a class 2.

  • How many child seats can fit on the rear rack? + -

    You can attach 2 Thule Yepp Nexxt Maxi Rack Mount child seats. For children that are a bit older, you can also choose to use the Murf Cargo Carriage with seat backs. You can find a complete passenger kit here.

  • How far can I ride on a single charge? + -

    The range depends on various factors like terrain, rider weight, and level of pedal assist or throttle use. On average, Murf bikes offer a range of up to 50 miles per charge.

For the Alpha Cargo you can choose from any of our essential add ons such as mirrors, cup holders, front or rear baskets and crates as well as from other brands. For passengers however, the Cargos are built with intentional rear accessories specifically designed by Murf.
